Openhand is not open yet. Mid-to-late October 2026 is when we expect to unlock the doors, and these are the hours we plan to keep from that night on.
- Sunday – Thursday
- 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Friday – Saturday
- 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM
The building
The room, the patio and the lot
About 4,100 square feet: a dining room, a bar, a stage, a kitchen and a patio, in a building that has been a restaurant and a tavern for a long time. The bones are good. What it needed was attention.
So that is what it is getting: a deep clean end to end, properly refreshed restrooms, a kitchen and bar brought back into shape, the patio and the lot tidied up, and our name on the sign.
There is a parking lot at the building.

Before you come
Two things worth knowing
Reservations
We do not take them. The dining room and the bar are first come, first served. If you are bringing a large group, call (608) 566-1118 ahead of time and we will do what we can with the room we have.
Getting in the door
The dining room and the bar are both on the ground floor. If you need details about the entrance, any steps, table clearance or nearby parking, call (608) 566-1118 and ask. We would rather answer the specific question before you drive over than leave you to work it out in the parking lot.
